Israel Concha’s journey is a story of resilience and determination. After living undocumented in the U.S. for over 30 years, he became a successful entrepreneur by founding American Yellow Cab, providing limo, taxi, shuttle, and concierge services while employing over 20 American citizens. His undocumented status eventually led to his arrest and deportation to Mexico City. Undeterred, Israel turned his experience into a mission, founding New Comienzos and developing the LISA system, which connects binational individuals with essential services like legal aid, job training, psychological support, language classes, and mentoring. His work has supported over 100,000 people, including dreamers, migrants, returning Mexicans, and binational families.

Thanks to a U Visa, Israel returned to the U.S., establishing New Comienzos U.S.A. in states like California, Texas, Oklahoma, and Nevada. He actively collaborates with migrant leaders, government agencies, media, and academics, and participates in conferences across Mexico and the U.S. Israel focuses on shelter assistance, emotional support, mentoring, and community empowerment, while working on projects to help people needing shelter when returning to Mexico. His dedication has earned him awards, including Citizen of the Year from the Mexico City Congress in 2013.
